The dude lied like a rug. If his constituents believe him then shame on them.

That begich is good. He just started and lied every time he opened his mouth. He can't help constituents because he doesn't want to. Pathetic he lets all these people suffer and lose their jobs.

We must not downplay the fact that there are members of the House who are firmly in the musk/trump "cult". They are beyond hope and they will never do anything to actually address the concerns of their consitutents. How many of them is another concern.

Time for Alaskans to realize they voted for the WRONG man. I have been saying that these Republicans KNEW Musk was going to do this.

This is Why Republicans are SO QUIET !!

They voted for THE MAN, period. They could have re-elected Mary Peltola, who would no way put up with any of this crap.

Also, his phone in town hall was a sham. The questions he took were preselected and from the likes of Republican Party leaders. When one questioner that wasn’t a toady got through, there was a mysterious technical glitch that hung up the phone….

While we rightly wonder why the Democrats are not doing more—anything?—to push back against the mass government firings that have left us all less safe across so many areas, we have to put far more pressure on the party in power to end these illegal activities carried out by Team Musk. Republicans are doing absolutely nothing to help their constituents, much less the country as a whole.

It's hard to believe anything the Republicans say about Trump and Musk, but I can believe this freshman House member was given no notice about the layoffs of important positions in his own state. Trump and Musk are acting as though they are accountable to no one—and thus far, that appears to be the case. And had be been told, what would/could he have done?

I've long ago lost any hope that Republicans would stand up to Trump, so we are left waiting to see if the courts will be the last guardrail for our democracy. Given SCOTUS's ludicrous immunity ruling that kept Trump safe from prosecution last summer, I do not have a lot of confidence in John Roberts and the rest of the corrupt Republican-appointed judges to stop the Trump/Musk steamroller.

Nice observations. Roberts may surprise you though. He, like McConnell is a strong institutionalist. He probably resents Trump and Musk's attack on the judiciary.

I have heard rumblings that Roberts may do the right thing. I holding onto that hope…for now.

And these people could have re-elected Mary Peltola. For penance, how about launching a recall petition?

Well, Alaska did have Sarah Palin as Governor once.

This needs to be put on repeat all the way to mid-terms. Daily.
