The community college I work for has had to convene a high level committee (and probably more) to deal with Trumps executive orders surrounding the “Dear Colleague” email that went out to all educational institutions about DEI.
Multiple emails have come out to employees addressing all the changes that are happening as we scrub DEI from our culture for fear of losing federal funding. Then we have to waste time reading the emails and think about how it affects the way in which we carry out our jobs. It’s ridiculous.

Trump reportedly told cabinet members that they, not Musk, are in charge of their agencies. How does that jive with what DOGE has already done, seemingly without cabinet approval?
Reading through this summary, it's very unclear to me if Musk, an otherwise formidably able man, has a unified strategy of how to use the power he's accruing. There is an improvisatory flavor here and he's making a lot of missteps. What's his hurry?
